Extension building works start March 4th.....

Its official, the long awaited extension is going ahead and it starts on the 4th March 2019.

We are excited to announce we are roughly doubling the size of our gym and cafe area to create a bigger facility. We will be having a brand new gym install and anticipate opening the new facility in summer 2019 at our Summer Party!! Gym equipment yet to be confirmed so watch this space!

There will be some temporary changes while the works go ahead:

Entering the building: We will need to create a temporary entrance to the building which will resort in having to create a pathway across the grass area to the 3G end of the sports centre. To enable this we will close off some parking bays, remove a fence panel and customers will enter the building via the doorway at the bottom of our corridor in the main building.

Parking: We are aware parking in the day time can be difficult but we have limited the amount of parking for internal services associated with Worle Centre so we can still provide customer parking. Where people can, we ask to make alternative transport to the centre or car share to reduce the amount of cars in the day time. In half terms and evenings we have use of the school car park and encourage customers to park in the 250 spaces we have access to.

Disruption to services: We hope there shouldn't be any disruption to the services we offer in the coming months but there will be a point where we need to close the Cafe and Gym to connect the new extension to the existing building and refit the Cafe and Gym with new equipment. This is scheduled to take no longer than 2 weeks but we will know closer to the time, the timing of this is purely weather dependant. All other services like classes and football etc will continue.

Once the gym equipment has been selected we will hold an open evening in our Cafe where the Centre Manager and Trustees will be available to take questions in regards to the building works and new equipment being installed.

We thank you for your continued custom and support of our community charity sports centre.
