Classes showing as no charge

We are having a few problems with our booking portal and have reported this to our software company.

Some classes like tonight’s Piloxercise and Box Fit are showing on the booking system as no charge. We are afraid this is not the case and we will be making contact with people who have booked in and are not members.

Delays on Female changing rooms

We have been chasing Wilmot Dixon today for a completion date on the female changing rooms, to be informed the earliest they think the works will be completed is Wednesday 10th October. This is due to complications on removing the plasterboard in the shower area.

We can only apologize for the delayed finish time and reassure you we are chasing Wilmot Dixon to finish the works ASAP but need to ensure there will be no further problems with the female changing rooms.

The continued use of other internal and external changing rooms will be in place until works are completed.

Limited Parking

Worle School Car Park on Thursday 20th September will be closed off for a school event 5-7pm.

The only car parking space’s available will be in the @Worle’s car park. Please plan your journeys and if you can attend the centre by any other means of transport this would be great.

Works on the Female changing room start tomorrow - please be aware of the changes within the centre in regards to shower and changing facilities.

Septembers Trustee meeting

Every quarter @Worle holds a Trustee meeting to discuss @Worle's performance, future vision and day to day operations of the centre. We aim to give you a brief over view of the points discussed, so you can see how your community sports centre is running.

Points discussed

• @Worle were thrilled with the feedback from the Summer Party and look forward to next year’s and continuing to share our profits with groups in the local community
• The Trust were pleased to welcome 2 new Trustees onto the board of the centre (Paul Savage and Gareth Starr) and we look forward to them adding their expertise to what @Worle does
• The launch of the Café has been a success but there is a need to keep improving and growing it
• Plans for our extension are moving forward and we are waiting to hear some final confirmation from the council before we submit final planning permission. We still hope to be in a position to start the work before the end of 2018

Next meeting will be held in December.

Female Changing rooms - building work

Due to a long standing defect in the female changing room, works will be starting on Monday 17th September to replace the shower cubicle area.

This will mean the female changing rooms will be closed until the anticipated date of Friday 28th September. 

 We will be temporarily turning the male changing rooms into the female changing rooms and gentlemen you will be located in an outdoor changing room throughout the process. On Saturday 22nd September we may not have a male changing room, depending on how many football bookings we have. We do however have 2 indoor disabled changing rooms with shower facilities should you require them.

Emergency light testing

Just to let you know the emergency lights will be on test for 3 hours starting at 6.30 am on Tuesday 4th Sept. The gym will be open as normal, just be a tad darker.

World cup final - early closure

Because the Football World cup final is on and most people have picked Football over getting fit we will be closing at 7pm this evening. Back to normal from tomorrow - until the Rugby World Cup!  Thanks @Worle
